Pool and Ice Cream playgroup

Christopher and I invited our friends over today to play in the water and eat ice cream. They did not stay in the water for long before they were ready to come in and play and eat some ice cream and brownies. They had a good time and us moms got to sit around and eat and talk. Nothing wrong with that is there?

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend. Here are some highlights from our weekend. It rained ALL day on Saturday but Christopher and I managed to run a few errands to Wal Mart and Lowes to pick up some flowers. That night we went out to dinner with our neighbor Anthony to eat Japanese and it was soooooooooooo YUMMY. On Saturday, we worked out in the yard all day long. Christopher loved every minute of it. I put his bathing suit on him and got his toys out put some water in the wagon and he played and splased and had the best time. It rained a few times but there was no thunder and lightening so we played in the rain a little. That night we grilled out and our neighbor came over and ate dinner with us and we sat on the back porch and enjoyed the weather. Sunday, we got up and headed to the MUD BOG to go mud riding. I rode in the jeep with Anthony and Bryan kept Christopher on the 4 wheeler with him. It was fun but I was scared to death a few times. Christopher just loves riding on the 4 wheeler and Bryan has STRICT instructions to go slow and be safe. We had a really good time and when we got home we went to a neighbors house to eat dinner with them. It was a fun filled weekend and we are sad it is over and daddy has gone back to work.

LITTLE SLUGGER

We have not done too much today, we did go to Wal Mart and check out what Christopher got. Like he needs something else to swing at Huey but I want him to be a baseball player so we are going to start early. He did not really get the concept, he just liked throwing the balls and swinging the bat. We don't have any major plans for the weekend. I bought some flowers today to plant and Bryan is going to clean the garage and Christopher will be so HAPPY b/c he will be outside. I have never seen a child LOVE the outside as much as he does. He will just stand at the door and cry to go outside, so he will be super happy tomorrow, unless the weather doesn't cooperate. We hope you all have a Happy and Safe Memorial Day weekend.

Busy Week

Sorry for the lack of posts this week but we have been super busy since we got home last week. On Monday, we stayed close to home and went to the grocery store to pick up a few things. On Tuesday I watched a friend of mines little boy and the boys played so well together. Christopher was so tired when Larson left he went straight to sleep. On Wednesday, we headed to the park and played for about 2 hours, the wind was blowing and there were some big boys playing basketball so we watched them for a while. Thursday, my friend Monica and her little girl Ella Claire came to play with us. We went to the park and played and and then came home and took naps and then we went out for some mexican food. Too bad I don't have any pictures of Ella Claire and Christopher playing neither one of them would cooperate with picture taking that day. We are hanging out at the house today hoping the rain stays away so we can go outside and play. I will be catching up on some much needed housework.

Finally back home

We have been in Mobile for the past week and a half for baseball games, block parties, Mother's Day and just visiting. We went down on Tues May 5th to watch my nephew pitch in his baseball tournament (which he did not do). When we went back to mom and dads that night I went to let Huey out of his cage and he was gone. (I had left him on the back porch b/c it was so hot in mom and dads house) We searched the neighborhood, posted signs, called the vets around their house, called the pound etc etc etc. It was a LONG few days but on Thursday morning I called the pound again and they had him. Christopher and I went flying down to claim Huey and get him out of doggie jail. That Friday my nephew had a baseball game so we went to that. Brayn came in town Friday night and we had a "date" we went bowling and had a GREAT time. Saturday was busy busy. We had another 2 baseball games where my nephew did pitch and did a GREAT job. We were at the ballpark all day and as soon as we finished at the ballpark we headed home to get things ready for the block party. We had several friends come and hang out with us and Christopher was a good boy all day long. He ate soooooooooooo many strawberries at the block party and enjoyed eating ice out of the cooler. Mother's Day was good we all went to eat Japanese food and went home and just hung out and rested from our busy days. Bryan was still there so we had another "date." We went to play pool and had a good time. We stayed for a few more days b/c my sister was off work and we wanted to hang out with her. On Thursday we got Christopher a much needed 4th haircut. He was good but moved around ALOT. We headed home on Friday b/c on Sat we had a bday party to go to for one of Christopher's friends. Now we are back in our routine and ready to get the summer rolling. Here are some pictures from our visit to Mobile.

What have we been doing???

Christopher and I headed to the park with my mommy group on Thursday to feed the ducks. We played for a few minutes, fed a few ducks and headed to the Galleria for some lunch and a little shopping (check out Christophers new flip flops)
Friday we headed to a different park with my mommy group and then a little lunch again.
Saturday we played outside ALL day long. We headed outside about 10am came in to take a nap for a few hours and went back out until about 10. Bryan was outside working on a new to cart that he got and once he got it up and running he took Christopher on a ride around the back yard and he LOVED it. He was a little unsure at first but then he got the hang of it and cried when Bryan put him off so then he rode him some more. I attempted riding it too but the thing doesn't have power steering and it scared me. He had so much fun outside but we came inside and gave him a bath and he was crying and crying b/c he wanted to go back outside. I guess I know what we will be doing tomorrow. :)
