My little Monkey

Well today is Christophers last "FIRST" holiday. We have had a good day hanging out at the house and we went outside earlier for me to carve the pumpkin and Christopher crawled around in the front yard. We got dressed and headed to Travis and Briana's house to go to their church's Trunk or Treat. Everytime Christopher gets around Baby Benjamin he turns into a Bully. Not sure what the deal is about that but you can check him out trying to scratch his eyeballs out. We had a good time and got to check out lots of cute costumes. Here are some pics from the night.

New Shoes

Well we finally bite the bullet and went and got Christopher some shoes today and he did not like it ONE BIT. He cried and cried when she put them on his feet and then when I put him down to try to walk he screamed some more. I even called mom so she could hear his screaming. (She is the reason he HAS to get shoes). We went to 2 different stores to find some "cute" shoes and they just do not make "cute" shoes for little boys. We got 2 different pairs and we got the cutest ones they had, but they are not really cute. He seems to be doing ok with them, he has figured out how to unvelcro them though so we will see how long it takes him to figure out how to take them off.

Cotton Pickin Festival

My sister, Leslie came into town this weekend so we could go to the Cotton Pickin Festival and hopefully sell some things. We had a good time even though we did not make that much money, it was still fun. Christopher was a perfect angel and only cried 1 time all weekend. Here are some pics from the 2 days we were there. I got his picture drawn, it looks great considering we waited in line for 30 min before he started working on Christopher.

check this out

The other day I came in the den after swapping out laundry and this is what I found. Christopher has figured out he can move things and stand on them to be higher. Here he is looking in the kitchen.

Punkin Painting

I let Christopher paint a pumpkin yesterday since we did not paint one at the pumpking painting party. He seemed to have a good time painting and of course by the time he was done there was paint on his clothes, my clothes, the sidewalk, and his face. Here are some pics of him painting and the "finished" product.

Pumpkin Painting Party

Today we went to a playgroup that was a pumpkin painting party. All the children were supposed to dress in their Halloween costumes. We did not wear our "real" costume today but I bought this little outfit at a consignment store and thought it was pretty appropriate for Christopher to wear. We had a good time. Christopher did not paint a pumpkin but we will get out in our yard and do that today.

Playdate

Courtney and her little girl Hayden came over today to play. Hayden is a week older than Christopher, and is already walking. Trying to take their picture was a hoot b/c everytime we would try to get their attention they would look the other way. It was cute.

11 months old

It is so hard to believe that in 1 month my baby will be 1 year old. It just seems like yesterday when I was at the doctor and she came in and told me to come back the next morning at 5 am. The past 11 months have flown by. People are starting to tell me that Christophers face is starting to not look like a baby anymore. I know there is so many fun things in store for me over the years but I really enjoy Christopher at this age of his life. The things he does everyday that he is starting to realize are funny so it makes him laugh. I never knew this little boy could bring so much joy to my life but I honestly could not imagine my life without him in it.

Punkin Patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch in Clanton. It was such a beautiful day, no clouds, wind blowing, everything was just perfect. We went to the petting zoo, rode the train, rode the tractor and picked out a bunch of pumpkins. It was all around a GREAT day. Christophers favorite part of the day was eating the hay... We ended up bring home 6 pumpkins, one of them being a 40 lb pumpkin.

Scarecrows in the Gardens

Today Christopher and I had to run some errans and we stopped by Aldridge Gardens. Every year around this time of year they have different companies that decorate scarecrows. We stopped by today and checked them out.
