My first Candy Cane

I absolutely LOVE candy canes... But only at Christmas time. After we opened presents some of us were sitting around and I got one off the tree to eat and the little vulture aka- Christopher was right there wanting to taste. We had to leave on Christmas day to head back to Alabaster and we had one tired little boy. He was asleep before we got out of my parents neighborhood and slept for about 2 hours then went back to sleep shortly after we got home. Look how sweet :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We hope that everyone had a very Merry and safe Christmas. We had a great Christmas in Mobile but are glad to be back home and getting back in to the swing of things. Christopher racked up with toys. Of course he could have cared less about what was going on but I know next year will be better and he will be more in to the whole Santa and opening presents ordeal. Every year "Santa" fills a stocking for my sister and I and this year Bryan somehow got his hands on a huge stocking and sent it to Mobile about a month ago so "Santa"could get busy filling it. This year Bryans stocking was filled with balloons that had money in it and Reeses Peanut Butter cups.

Merry Christmas Eve

Here are some pics of Christopher in his PJ's getting ready for his visit from Santa.

new favorite toy

I bought a big red Christmas ornament for Christopher's Christmas picture and it has quickly become his favorite toy. He loves to throw it over his shoulder and carry it around the house. Here are some pics with his ornament and in his cute Christmas PJ's.

LEMONS

On Friday Dec 19th we went out to dinner to eat some Mexican food. Christopher had eaten goldfish, rice, beans, crackers, etc etc etc. All that was left to eat was lemons so we gave him a lemon and he absolutely LOVED it. He has had lemons before but it is always funny to see his face when he eats one.

Alabaster Fire Department

There is a fire dept that is right by our house and every year they decorate a little grassy area with Christmas decorations and toys. On Thursday Dec 18th I took Christopher up there to play for a little bit. He had such a good time.

No to HOHO

Today a friend of mine and her little boy went to the Bass Pro Shop to see Santa Claus. This is Christophers 3rd time this season to see him and each time we have seen him have gotten worse. The first time we saw him he just looked at him and stared, the second time he was not soooooooooo sure about him and today he was just not sure about him at all.

Getting ready for Christmas

Christmas is my favorite time of the year but this year I have decided not to put up a tree. I know that is terrible and this will be the only time I can get away with it, but I have just run out of time. I normally put my tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving but Christopher and I were in Mobile and then we came back for a week but I was getting things ready for a show and then we were gone again for another week so I have just let time catch up on me. Christopher is also at that age where he is in to EVERYTHING. I tell him "no" enough and I can not even begin to imagine what it would be like for the next week when we leave for Mobile again. Call me a Scrooge but if you see my child between now and Christmas chances are pretty good that he will be decked out in Christmas attire.
We attempted to take pics last night for our Christmas card and I bought this big ornament b/c I (well Alicia) gave me the perfect idea and Christopher wanted nothing to do with the ornament until we had all had enough of "trying" to get a good picture. Now he has not let go of the ornament. He throws it over his shoulder and carries it around like he is Santa.

Just pure cuteness

Here are some random pictures I took while we were in Mobile..

1st Basketball Game

On Thursday night Christopher got to go to his first basketball game. My nephew Dalton played at the high school I went to. Christopher was very involved and enjoyed watching the boys running up and down the court. When the teams were warming up they were playing some really really really loud rap music and somehow, Christopher fell asleep in Dad's lap. He slept the whole time they were warming up with that music blaring and when it was turned off he woke up. I don't get it.

Big Boy Haircut

On Thursday I took Christopher to get his first haircut by Julie's mom at Bunny's Inc. I have been dreading getting his haircut b/c it is just one more step to him not being a baby anymore, but we had to get rid of the mullet and rat tail. It was getting a little out of control and I could not take it anymore. He did great and looks like a little boy now. He no longer looks like my baby. He got a cute 1st haircut certificate and got to play with Carter while we were there. After the haircut we headed to the mall to get him some new pj's for Christmas. I have been searching for footed pjs and could not find them anywhere. We shared a pretzel and cheese dip while we were there too. We had a good day together.

Happy Turkey Day

We want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. We spent our day with some great friends of ours (Chad and Maggie) We had a good day, good food and good drinks. Christopher did not like turkey too much but he did eat some squash casserole and some green bean casserole but completed his meal with gold fish and teddy grahams. We are home now and ready to relax.

1 year Dr appt.

On Monday Nov 24th we had Christophers 1 year checkup. I was really anxious to see how much he weighed and how tall he was. Here's the STATS...... weight-22lbs 8 oz, 29 1/2 inches long. He is such a growing boy. She was asking me all the things that he did and he got a good bill of health. Then the dreaded came..... SHOTS- he had to get 3 shots and a finger prick. He cried for about 20 min. That is the longest he has ever cried but I was right there with him. It breaks my heart when he is like that and there is nothing I can do to make it better right then and there. After we left the Dr we went to CVS and I let him play with all the Christmas toys that make noise. I love to see the smile on his face when the toys start singing or dancing. We came home after the dr and just took it easy. He enjoyed pushing Dr. Russells chair around the room so I took some pics of him
