wow it has been forever since I last blogged. We have not been up to a whole lot but then again we have been. We have hung out with friends at their houses, hung out with friends at our house, been to parks, been to eat, been to the Cherubs Clubhouse and much much more but I have been a super bad mommy and have not taken any pictures until today when we headed to the zoo. It was a beautiful day, the weather was cool and it was the perfect day to head to check out the animals. We met some friends there and checked out all the animals and boy are we tired. Here are some pictures from our fun day. Christopher enjoyed the zoo, we have not been in a while so it was nice to do something different. He was a little worried about the snakes and lizards (as he should be). The boys all enjoyed walking with the tiger up and down the glass. The lion was asleep and he has talked about the lion going night night ALL day long. I really enjoyed watching his reaction to all the different animals and soo glad that we decided to go.

On Thursday we headed back down to the beach for a long weekend with Maggie. We had a good time, playing in the sun, feeding the seagulls and eating some yummy seafood.

Party time

A few weekends ago we had a party to go to for a friend. It was in a bouncy house (which Christopher has never liked in the past) Bryan tagged along with us. It was good b/c he got in the bouncy houses with him and he enjoyed it b/c he has never really seen Christopher play with his friends. We had fun spending the day as a family, I love days like these.

A whole bunch of nothing

This is what we did when we got home, a whole lot of nothing. Christopher found a pen and wrote all over himself, he found a permanent marker and colored all over the kitchen wall and the door of the playroom. I literally can not go to the bathroom and leave him alone. He has been venturing to our room at night and this is a picture of him one night walking to our room with ALL of his stuffed animals.

Dolphin Cruises

After we left MM and PP's house Christopher and I headed to the Gulf for a few days. One day I decided we would go out on the Dolphin Cruises. I thought we would enjoy it. It was fun and we got to see a bunch of dolphins but I don't think I will do anything like that alone for a while. He was more interested in dancing around to Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley. It was fun and he did get excited when he saw the dolphins jumping in the air.

We headed to Mobile to hang with MM, PP and Lele. Here is a picture of Christopher wearing PP's socks. He is crazy. Leslie had gotten some free nights at the casino so we ventured there for a few days. We had a good time and it was sooo funny to see the way Christopher was in a hotel room, he had never been in a hotel room and when we walked in he said OH WOW!!!!!! We had a good 3 days playing in the pool, jumping on beds and eating junk food. Bryan came over one night and let Leslie and I loose onthe town. We got to gamble together and go to dinner without wrestling a toddler. It was a good time and we can't wait to go back.

Cherub Clubhouse

I know you are thinking we have fallen off the face of the earth but we have been ON THE GO lately and my laptop is not working so I am having touse Bryans (which I don't like to do) Before we left on out ventures we went to the Cherub Clubhouse with our little mommy group. Super busy, FUN day

Today Christopher and I went to see a movie (Kung Fu Panda) It was pretty cute but I am not sure Christopher liked it too much b/c he slept through the whole thing which was good b/c I got to watch it and enjoy it. We came home and hung out for a while and then headed to the Cherub Clubhouse to take something to drop off and then we headed to meet Alicia and Hadley at Chuck E Cheese. Christopher has only been 1 time with Aunt LeLe and I and you would have thought he was a pro. He ran all over the place, rode on the rides (which he wouldn't do last time), went to see Chuck E. when he came out (which he wouldn't do last time), climbed up in the tunnels (which he wouldn't do last time). We are pizza and danced and I think the kids had a great time.

Briana and Ben came over on Tuesday and the boys had such a good time playing together. Usually Christopher pulls some sort of shananagans and is ugly to Ben but not this time. They played so good together with a few minor exceptions. We watched tv, played, ordered pizza and had a good time visiting with them. When it was time for them to leave they gave each other a big ol hug. Aren't they sweet?

On Monday we went to meet Alicia, Hadley, Lynn and John Thomas for lunch. The kids had a good time jumping in the booths and watching monster trucks on Lynns ipod. I did not really get any good pictures of the kids but they had a good time and I am more than sure the restaurant was happy to see us leave. After lunch we went to Lynns house for the kids to play outside and they had a blast. I would have had a bunch of pictures from over there but my battery died. We stayed over there until early in the evening and then headed home to get daddy packed up to leave to go out of town again.

My friend Amber had a baby a few weeks ago and was in town so Christopher and I took off to see her. She is such a cutie and it is soooo hard to remember Christopher being that small. Of course I was a nervous wreck the whole time b/c I never know what Christopher is going to do. He was good with her and would touch her piggies and even tried to sneak in a kiss here and there. It was great to see them b/c I have not seen Amber in over 4 years and knowing us back in "our" day you would never have imagined us with children. Guess we are all grown up now

Well I can not say that we are starting potty training but I can say we are purchasing some items to help with the process. We went to Target the other day and they had some Choo Choo underwear on clearance so I snagged them. Christopher LOVES wearing them even though he is wearing them over a diaper. Today we went to Buy Buy Baby and bought a small potty to fit on the big potty and a stool to step on. They were both "cool cars" I asked Christopher if he was going to tee tee and poo poo on the potty and he very quickly said "NO" Well at least we are off to a good start.

Hanging out

Today our good friends that we never get to see came to visit. Monica and I have not talked in several months and we picked up where we left off. I love friendships like that. Ella Claire and Christopher had a good time playing with each other once they got warmed up to each other. I am pretty sure Christopher got on Ella Claires nerves asking her to play "cool cars" with him. They played, we attempted to take them to the pool, they ate, they played some more, they fought, we sewed, we talked, we went to eat mexican we just had an all around good time. They are out for the summer months so I really hope we can get the kids together more often to play. Of course neither one of them would cooperate at the same time so the pics are not good but trust me that they had fun.

I have been thinking about taking Christopher to the movies lately to see how he does, but didn't want to waste the money going, if we had to leave early b/c of him acting crazy. Today was the day. Our local theater has kiddie movies on Tues and Wed for 3.00 and you get a free popcorn and coke. I figured if we had to leave we would only be out 6 bucks so we headed to the movies this morning. Fortunately, the movie this week was Alvin and the Chipmunks, which we have been watching at home. He did fairly good. Things could have been soooo much worse but they could have been better also. We are popcorn, drank coke and spent our Wed morning with the chipmunks. We may try it again next week but then again I have never heard of the movie that is playing next week so we may not.

FIREWORKS GALORE

Wow what a busy fun weekend. Saturday our city and one of the local churches put on a 4th of July celebration. We loaded up and headed there with our neighbor and his girls. Byran was working so it was just Christopher and I on this venture. they had bouncy houses, which Christopher usually will have nothing to do with, but I guess he had 2 influences today and we could not keep him out of the bouncy houses. After jumping for a while we went back to our blanket and had snacks and cooled off. They played a movie when it got dark but there were so many people there, we couldn't see of hear the movie. Bryan finally made it and he took Christopher to bounce some more. After the movie they shot off fireworks and it was probably one of the best shows I have ever seen. It brought tears to my eyes. Christopher LOVED them. He kept saying "cool beans"
On Sunday, we had our neighbor and his girls come over to play in the pool and us grill out and enjoy the day. We had so much fun, we were outside all day enjoying good friends and good food. When it got dark Bryan got the fireworks out and put on his own fireworks show for us. He did a good job this year. He got some really long sparklers that the kids LOVED. Christopher had so much fun today he fell asleep in my arms with the fireworks going off. It was a great day had by all.

Happy 4th of July

We don't have plans of going anywhere for the 4th. I can not remember when the last time I did not go to Mobile for the 4th was but I know it has been forever. We are keeping it simple this 4th and plan on doing some grilling out, playing in the pool and shooting fireworks. We hope that everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July. Here are some pics of my little monster and some of his friends at a 4th of July playgroup we went to on Friday. (check out the cheeks on Baby Brennan- he is the cutest thing and I can not get enough of his cheeks).

My sister came in town this past Sunday to spend her vacation with us. We already had plans to meet up with Alicia and Hadley so after speech we headed to lunch. I love watching these two grow up together and so glad we get them together for "lunch dates" We wnjoyed lunch and got a few pics of the two of them. Of course when one would cooperate the other would not but here are some cuties.

Pool Time

I have been wanting to get Christopher a pool for our yard but I wanted one big enough for Bryan and I to be able to enjoy. I searched and searched and found what I thought to be the perfect pool for our family. Well after about 4 days of looking for it and 6 hours of getting it together we finally have our pool. Here we are getting in it for the first time. Christopher was so excited about his pool and we could not go another minute without being in it. Since it took so long for it to get up and running (b/c the ground had to be flat, which involved a tractor and a load of sand) and then the hour it took to fill it up it was later in the afternoon before we got in and boy was it cold. We were literally chattering out teeth. We had some friends over for dinner so they joined.

Last day at the beach

We got up on Friday and headed back to the beach to get in a little more fun in the sun before we headed back home. The water was open again today so we got to get our feet wet. We walked down the beach a little ways to check out the other parts of the beach. We stayed at the beach for a while, went back to the house, showered and headed back to Alabaster. We had a good time at the beach. I love seeing Christopher play in the sand and enjoy being outside.

Beach Day 2

We were not going to let the oil stop us from getting some sun and playing so we headed to the beach. We still could not get in the water but Christopher is not a fan of the waves so he is not a fan of being on the main beach. He had fun playing considering the circumstances. Today there were no tar balls on the beach but plenty of them in the water. Around 11:30 the beach patrol came around and said we could get in the water but be careful. I moved my chair a little closer and we finished enjoying the day. There were still not a bunch of people there today and we were at the main hangout. Normally this time of year this area is so crowded you can not find a place to be. NOT the case this year. There were people in jeans and haz mat clothing with shovels scooping the tar balls off the beach. Several "locals" came and I would chat with them and when they left they thanked me for coming and helping out their town. So sad. We went out to dinner again and then did some souvenir shopping and walked down to the beach just to have somehting to do. Christopher acted crazy and we had to come home. (after ice cream of course.)

On Wednesday Christopher and I headed to Gulf Shores to check out what is going on with the oil spill. It is so sad to see Gulf Shores this time of year with very few people. It was like a horror movie (it was about to rain so it was dark, there were not a lot of people anywhere, bus loads of clean up crew being let off at various parts of the beach) It was just plain sad and very depressing of what is to come of this area where I grew up and love. I want Christopher to enjoy visits to the Gulf like I did as a child and after what we saw I am not sure that is going to happen. We walked out on the beach and there were a lot of tar balls on the beach. There were a few people on the beach but most were like us and just checking out what was going on. News crews were there and the beach patrol was riding around making people get out of the water. We went out to dinner that night, did not have a wait and were only 2 of about 6 people in the well known restaurant. Very very sad.

We hung out with Maw Maw and Paw Paw for a few days. Christopher "helped" Paw Paw fix Maw Maw's chair. I know he was a HUGE help :) Maw Maw also bought him a new riding horse and he giddy ups all over the place now. Thank you Maw Maw

Sorry it has taken me so long to get an update on here but we have been super busy with family and friends. A few weeks ago my parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They did not want a big whoopla just a small get together with family. As most of you know with our family it automatically turns in to a big whoopla. We had a great weekend. On Friday night we had a dinner at my brother and sister in laws house (b/c they were leaving the next day) on Saturday we had a cook out at my sisters house (b/c my nephew and his wife were coming in town from being on a cruise) on Sunday we all went to church and then went back to my sisters house for some leftovers. What a great weekend. Christopher had a chance to play with his cousins in the pool and it seemed to be a big hit.

Today started off a little crazy, I was tired and ill when I woke up and Christopher wanted to be up at 6 am. I vetoed that and he slept until 7 but then he wanted me up also. We went over to our friends Kim, Logan and Hannahs house to play. The boys had a good time and Hannah is just a few months old so she was just chilling out. We came home and played and then we were going to go have dinner. I just didn't have it in me to heat up the leftovers in the fridge so we headed out for some chippies (mexican) I decided to ride by a family friendly free festival that was going on and told myself if it was crowded we wouldn't go. We got there right when it started and there were not a lot of people there so we went to check it out. They had a firetruck, bouncy houses, vendors of all kinds, free hot dogs (we passed on those) and then the kids could go inside and play on the indoor equipment. We stayed there for over an hour playing and getting Christopher nice and tired and then we headed to dinner. HUGE mistake. He was soooooo not good at the restaurant. We ended up having to leave b/c he would not listen and he threw his hat at me and then got mad b/c I wouldn't give it back. I don't like when he acts like that at home but I REALLY don't like when he acts like that in public. He doesn't do it often but when he does he really makes me mad. We left mad at each other, I came home brushed his teeth, put on his pjs and put him in the bed and he was out in less than 5 minutes. I know he was just tired b/c he had like a 15 minute nap today but still it burns me up for him to act crazy like that. With all that being said here is a picture of what he looked like when I went to tuck him in. I just don't get it but he is just like his daddy (who fell asleep sitting up the other day putting on his pants) Hoping tomorrow is a fun day we have several thing going on.

We had a pretty low key weekend playing outside and trying to avoid the rain, but on Sunday we went to a friends house and had a cookout with their family. Alicia and Hadley were in town and asked us to come over so we took them up on it. There were going to be other kids for Christopher to play with and I knew we would have a good time. It started rainging as soon as we got there so we were inside all day but I know the kids still had fun. Thanks Alicia for inviting us and thanks Lynn for letting us come play.

Baby Brennan

My friend Courtney had her baby last week and Christopher and I went to visit them on Wednesday. He is so cute and it is so hard to believe that Christopher was ever that little. Christopher and Hayden played outside in the sand box, they played inside pushing carts around the house, playing cars and trains, eating goldfish and raisins and watching a movie. It was a good visit with them and we are so happy for the whole family. Christopher got a little curious about the baby a few times and I did not know what he was going to do. (not that I ever do know what he is going to do, but I get nervous with him and babies and the whole not knowing thing) but he did good and just really wanted to touch him.

This weekend Bryan decided he wanted to wash his van so he and Christopher washed the van. Christopher loves being outside and loves being wet so it was a great combo for him. He even washed the tires on his 4-wheeler.

Fun in the Sun

We headed to Oak Mountain State Park today to the little beach they have and we will for sure be going back. We met some friends there and the boys played and played. We took lunches and snacks and all was good. I did not take many pictures today, as a matter of fact I only took 2 and they are of Christopher and his buddy Larson's back :) I am a big fan on pictures from behind. (just not mine)

La Fiesta

Alicia and Hadley came in to town on Friday and we met them for lunch. We sat outside so the kids could be loud if they needed to be. We had a good visit and the kids were actually pretty good. Christopher was trying to sneak some kisses from Hadley and she has not having any of it. Alicias air was broken so we went to Express Oil Change with them to get her air fixed and the kids played in the car and then we headed to Dippin Dots for some ice cream. It was a great time and as always it was great seeing them.

Mother's Day

This day was a little different this year. My mom was in the hospital and Bryan was in Birmingham. Leslie, Christopher and I spent the day together and went to a FABULOUS lunch, did a little shopping and then to visit mom. I hate that mom was in the hospital on Mother's Day but she said considering she had a nice day overall. It was a good day.

Beach Bound

We were in Mobile last week and Aunt Leslie had a few days off so we thought we would take off and head to the beach. Just as I thought Christopher LOVED it again this year. The day we got there we didn't make it to the beach until about 4 but we stayed until about 8. He was worn out. Bryan came down there to see us and he and Christopher climbed the mounds of sand that are on reserve for the oil that may be heading to the Gulf. I was really shocked that Christopher climbed all the way to the top. Leslie was nice enough to let us go to dinner. She said we were probably not down the stairs before he was asleep. The next day we went to the beach and stayed pretty much ALL day. We had fun playing in the sand, feeding the seagulls, and eating Bugles. We ended up leaving that day b/c my mom called and told us she was having to go to the hospital to run some tests. We could not have gone to the beach anyways b/c we got a little too much sun that day.

Quack Quack

Today was such a beautiful day today we decided to make the most of it, and head to the park to feed the quack quacks. Christopher was excited to feed the ducks today and they actually ate and came running to us to get some bread. We fed the ducks, turtles and little fish, chased the ducks, and watched a crane find him some lunch. After the bread was gone we headed to the playground to play for a little bit. There were several kids there today so he actually had some buddies to play with and not just me. After we left the park we headed to the grocery store and home for a nap. Thinking about making pizza tonight for dinner so it will top off our fun day together.

LOVES his daddy. Bryan has been working a whole lot lately so we have not really gotten a chance to spend time with him but he dedicated his whole Sunday to me and Christopher. Christopher could not have been happier. He even crawled in the bed with him tonight to "watch" Cars and this is how I found them. Aren't they cute? We have had a great day of doing absolutely nothing. We played outside with the nieghbors grandchild, rode 4 wheelers, sat in the sun, ate popsiscles and just enjoyed the beautiful weather. We did go to Wal Mart for some bubbles and a bubble blower but that was it. It has been a really good day and we enjoyed getting to enjoy daddy ALL day long

Thomas Take 2

Well we attempted to go see Thomas again on Thursday with our friends that we were supposed to go with last week and I got there and there was NO Thomas. I had one sad little boy. We had been tlaking about going to see the Choo Choo all morning long and then there was no choo choo to be had. We ended up going down to Montevallo to a park down there and letting Christopher and Coopie (Cooper) play for several hours. We went to lunch and did a little grocery shopping and headed home for nap time.
Friday we attempted to go to Thomas again b/c I just knew he was there on Friday. Yep, wrong again. We ended up letting to boys play on the train tracks and get up on the actual trains that were at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum. They had a good time and finally got to see the choo choos. We went in the gift shop b/c I knew I was not crazy and that Thomas was supposed to be there and the lady said not jsut Sat and Sun. I still knew I was not crazy and came home and looked it up on the internet and it does say Fri, Sat and Sun so I am not sooo crazy after all.

Feeding the ducks

Last weekend Christopher and I headed to the park to feed the ducks. I had a lot of bread that I thought we were going to get rid of. Christopher got to a piece before we started feeding the ducks. Thank goodness it was not a piece that was molded. Anyway, the ducks were not hungry but we enjoyed playing anyway.

A day out with Thomas

Well we had plans to go see Thomas the tank with some friends today and she called and had to cancel b/c her little boy is sick. I thought about not going b/c Thomas will be back next week but decided to head on out. I put Christophers 1 and only train shirt on and his belly hung out the bottom of it, so off to the monogramming machine I went. It took me over an hour to make his shirt and he was not acting very sweet the whole time. I had decided we were not going and we would just go next week and do something around the house today. Then my friend Leslie called and said they wanted to go so we packed up and headed that way, we stopped for some lunch and had a picnic in the car and then headed to see the choo choo. We went to the petting zoo and checked out the animals and then headed to get our tattoo. Next we went to hear the story and this is where Christopher FLIPPED out, he did not want on the train, he did not want to hear a story, he did not want to sit on my lap, he wanted off and he wanted off NOW. We went and listened to Jay Aycock sing some kiddie songs and that is when our friends showed up. Christopher was totally different once Larson got there, running around like some sort of wild animal let loose. They boys had a good time, playing with the train tables, playing in the sand and just running around. We were there for about 2 hours or more and when we headed home little man was out like a light.

We had a really good Easter and I think Christopher enjoyed his basket and I really think he enjoyed having jelly beans and Smarties for breakfast that day. He got lots of goodies in his basket, some coloring books, an Easter Mr Potato Head, a carrot bat and ball set, candy of course and a few more goodies I picked up here and there. We played outside most of the day riding 4 wheelers, pushing cars, playing with remote control cars, hunting eggs and well you get the picture. I cooked a big meal and our neighbor Anthony came down to eat with us. It was a great day and we are really enjoying this great weather we have been having.

Christopher has a car that he plays with outside and I caught him a few times this weekend actually putting his foot in the door of the car and trying to get in it. He sort of got upset a few times when he wouldn't fit. He is so crazy sometimes and always keeps me on my toes.

Birthday party

On Saturday the 3rd we had a bday party to go to for a little girl in our playgroup. It was at a place called Gymboree. Christopher had a good time, he loved the bubbles and he loved dancing and eating cake. We had a good time. On the way home we stopped and got some lunch and came home for a nap (I thought). We ended up at the park. We had Olivia this weekend and so we headed to the little park by our house for a few hours. Christopher had a good time playing with Ia (Olivia) he loves her and she loves him. Bryan met us up there and they all played with cars in the wood chips. Christopher has recently learned about blowing dandelions so he spent the first part of our park visit finding them and blowing them. It was cute but once they were all gone he moved on to other things.

Egg hunt

Today my mommy group had an egg hunt. It was fun. Christopher is really getting the hang of this egg thing. He got lots of chocolate in his eggs today. :) There was a few minutes where I could not find him and I was starting to freak out a little bit. I looked all over for him and was getting alittle worried for a minute. The house we were in was in the woods and I had no idea if he had walked out the door and in to the woods. I looked upstairs and did not see him and noticed a friend of his was missing too. The girl whose house we were at went upstairs and found the 2 of them in the bathroom with the water on in the tub and there cheese-its poured in the tub. My heart was going 90 to nothing. It is funny now that I think about it but it was sure not funny when it was happening and I couldn't find him.

Park day

On Wednesday, we met some friends at the park to play. It was such a pretty day and a perfect day to be outside. Christopher slept until 10:45 which was super nice to have some time to myself. After he got up we ran a few errands, grabbed some lunch and headed to the park. The boys played while Leslie and I chatted and got some sun. When we were leaving we went to visit the ducks. If I would have been thinking I would have brought some bread to feed them. Christopher tried to get close to them but they kept walking away from him. Can't imagine why...

Easter Egg Hunt

It was such a beautiful day today. Christopher and I went to meet some friends for the annual egg hunt. The kids had a good time hunting eggs. Christopher got a whole lot of eggs in his basket. We came home after the hunt and played outside a little while, ran a few errands, got some lunch, and took a much needed nap. After naptime we headed outside where we stayed the rest of the afternoon. Christopher ate dandelions, rode his 4 wheeler, played in daddy's truck, played in mommy's car, played ball with the neighbors, played with the dog across the street, ate some dirt and enjoyed some cookies with daddy. It was a perfect day. If it is pretty tomorrow we are going to be out there doing the same thing only mommy is going to be planting some flowers.

So it has become a habit for the past few nights that before we go to bed Christopher comes in our room and watches his monster truck video. Tonight while he was watching it I went in the kitchen to clean up from dinner so I can get in the bed myself. I came back in the bedroom to find this.... Christopher was sitting in our bed with the laptop in his lap, the remote control beside him acting like he knew what he was doing.

So last night I went to tuck Christopher in to bed and he had Mr Potato Heads glasses on his head and he was asleep. It was the cutest thing and it made me laugh out loud but I did not even think to take a picture. :( It was priceless though.

This morning I brought him in our room to watch monster trucks and I went to fix his breakfast. I came back and he was all nestled in, under the covers. I gave him his strawberries and cinnamon toast and he officially has it made. Check this out

A friend of mine had a baby last week and we went to meet her today and let Christopher and Logan play. We ate hot dogs and chips and played with the cars. You know it is different playing with cars when they are not yours. :) It was a good visit and great to meet Baby Hannah. Christopher didn't really pay too much attention to her until we were just about to leave and he decided he wanted to try to pick her up, give her the paci and touch all over her. It was cute, he even gave her some kisses and I think he tried to give her knuckles. Too cute. We came home and napped and then daddy came home to enjoy some raw hot dogs. These are 2 hot dog eatin crazy boys.

Hope everyone is have a good St. Patricks Day. I was up bright and early this morning to get Bryan on the road and could not get back to sleep so I went downstairs and made Christopher a shirt to wear today. We had a playgroup to go to today and lots of green foods were consumed by one little boy. We had a good time. After we left the playgroup we headed to the grocery store to do our weekly buys and then we headed home. It smells so good in my house b/c I put on the corned beef before I left his morning. I went downstairs to change out hte laundry and came back to Christopher doing this... He cracks me up sometimes :)

Christopher and I were in Mobile last week. We didn't really do too much but we did go see Dalton play baseball. Christopher actually sat for like 3 innings, after that he was ALL over the place. We made a new friend (Ethan) and saw an old friend (Hardin).

While we were in Mobile Christopher REALLY enjoyed Paw Paw or Poppie as he has started calling him. It was nice b/c at night time when it was time to go to bed, he wouldn't let me put him down he would pull Poppies finger and take him with him. It was too cute. If he said PawPaw, Poppie or car 1 time each day he said it thousands of times each day. We had a good time and can't wait to go back. I know it is soo quiet and clean in Mobile now but wow it sure is loud and messy here in Alabaster.

Alicia and Hadley were in town this weekend so we got together for lunch on Sayurday. As usual, Christopher was running around (just our table) and Hadley was being soooo sweet. They shared goldfish, margaritas (virgin), Capri Suns, and who knows what else.We had a good time and a good visit. Here are some pictures of the lovebirds. Every time we would tell Christopher to gice her a kiss he would go up to her with an open mouth and ready for a big ol kiss. I love seeing them together and hope that when they are older they will be close and be the best of friends.

Today we were watching Christophers favorite cartoons (Barney and Caillou) I asked him if he wanted to go watch tv in mommies bed and he headed that way. We were snuggling and next thing I knew I heard him snoring. I love when he does things like this and falls asleep in my arms. He was so warm and toasty and slept for about 1 1/2 hours.

I looked outside a few days ago and this is what I saw. I opened the door to take a closer picture and they all flew away. They came back a few minutes ago and covered our back yard, both of our neighbors back yards and the trees. It was so cool. Christopher was so excited and started banging on the windows and guess what they flew away again.

The other day I went to our bedroom and when I came back to the den Christopher was sitting in a moon pie box, like all the way in it. I ran to get the camera and when I got back he was escaping the box and this is all I got.

Here is also a picture of him from a few days ago. He brought all of his stuffed animals in the den and put them in a pile and then he piled up with them.

Well Christopher got it honestly from his daddy. Bryan went to Wal Mart today and came home with 6 new "cars" 3 for him and 3 for Christopher. Here they are playing with their trucks.

Christopher has been all about Paw Paw today. When we were eating breakfast this morning there was a box of Frosted Flakes on the counter. (that is the cerealy Paw Paw eats and apparently Christopher remembers eating FF with PP) He saw that box and it was all over from there. I think I have heard Paw Paw more times today than I have heard cars. We had to call PP and talk to him this morning and later in the day Bryan called and when I put Christopher on the phone with him, when he heard it was not PP he handed the phone back to me. He does LOVE his Paw Paw. He has been daddies best friend since he got home and they have been playing cars for over an hour.

We went over to a friends house last week and she ahd this brilliant idea to let the kids make their own pizzas. I thought she was a little crazy but WOW it was fun. When I used to teach I planned several field trips to the pizza place to let the kids make their own pizza I just never thought of letting my 2 year old do it. Well tonight was the night. I let Christopher make his own pizza and he really seemed to like it. He did not like the fact that he had to wait for the pizza to cook. (last week he had 2 friends to play with) As you can see in the pictures he enjoyed eating the pizza dough before we cooked it and the cheese off the pizza. I forgot to take a picture of the finished product and guess what???? IT IS GONE

Christopher LOVES the bathtub. When I say "let's go get in the bathtub" he goes running to the door. He loves playing with all his toys in the bathtub. He has alphabet letters that stick to the tub, cars that stick to the tub, crayons that you can write on the tub with and cups galore. Here are a few pics of his bathtub time. We have had a super busy weekend. The weather has been beautiful and we took full advantage of it. Saturday morning we got up, had some breakfast and headed outside to clean the garage. It is a much needed task that we have been needing to do since we moved in this house 4 years ago.

We had a little scare while we were outside. Bryan had told Olivia and her friend to keep an eye on Christopher while we were cleaning, then he sent them to ride bikes, which left us to watch him. I looked up about 2-3 minutes later and said "where is my child?" We could not see him. I went in to panic mode and our neighbor who was down here said "he just walked past me" I walked up the the end of our yard and who did I see walking down the street about 2 houses away but our little Christopher. My heart was pounding and I could not believe that this was happeneing. I ran down the street and grabbed him and believe me he did not get out of our site the rest of the day.

We came in and ate dinner and went to night night. We were a tired bunch after this busy day.

Sunday, we woke up and I folded some clothes and then Christopher and I headed to go and do some shopping and then we took advantage of the beautiful day again and went to the park to play. We went to the park a lot last year but I think he is going to enjoy it a lot more this year b/c he can climb on all the things. We had a good time. Came home and ate some pancakes for dinner. Bryan got home from helping a friend do some work at their house and Christopher climbed up in his lap and fell asleep. It is so funny it seems like he always falls asleep in Bryans arms. Today it really did snow and it snowed A LOT. We had so much fun playing outside. I am so glad that Christopher liked it this year. I would have been sad it I had to play in the snow by myself. :) We played outside this morning and then Olivia and her sister came over to play after they got out of school. Christopher liked eating the snow but was picking it up off the ground and it would have pine straw and leaves in it. We got a plastic top and the girls had a makeshift sled that they pulled Christopher on. We came in to warm up with some doughnuts and hot chocolate. It was a good day. The snow at our house is pretty much melted so there will be no playing tomorrow.

Chuck E Cheese

We took Christopher to Chuck E Cheese one day. I have been wanting to take him but waiting for the right time. Well that time happened in Mobile. We had a good time. Christopher loved the car game that the cars just drove around with no token and Leslie and I had fun playing Ski Ball and Deal or no Deal. Christopher DID NOT like the things moving AT ALL. He loves him a monster truck and all but let it move and it is a different story. NOT having it AT ALL. We are so glad that Aunt Leslie was off all week and got to spend lots of time

with us doing things I am sure she NEVER thought she would do. Thanks Aunt Leslie we hope you had as much fun as we did.

We had shrimp and crab claws one night for dinner and Christopher REALLY wanted to "help" Maw Maw, only Maw Maw did not want Christopher "helping" her. It was funny to watch him sneak a spoon over to "help." We gave Christopher a bowl and wisk and he entertained himself for several minutes making his own 1 man band.

Not sure if you can tell or not but my child LOVES cars. Everything is a car. This night Paw Paw (who Christopher is also OBSESSED with) was gone. I was trying to get him to sleep when he heard Paw Paws voice and jumped out of bed and starting saying Paw Paw over and over so I took him to see Paw Paw and this is what they ended up doing for probably 45 minutes. Paw Paw went to get a chair b/c his back was giving him problems so Christopher had to go get one too. Two peas in a pod.

Well Christopher still had a fever today and it had actually gone up to about 103.9 so I got a little concerned. I called a friend of mine who is a nurse and she told me I should take him to the dr. I called and we headed in. Results= double ear infection. We have never had an ear infection so this is all new to us. The dr visit was horrible. They had to flush out his ears. He was scared and crying and I could not do anything to help him so I cried with him. We got him some meds and hoping they will kick in and make him all better. We had a playgroup at our house today. We had a good time as usual. It was one of the little boys birthdays this week so his mom brought cupcakes to help celebrate. I have never (not sure why) given Christopher spaghetti with the sauce on it. Come to think of it I have probably not given it to him b/c it is soooo messy. He didn't do too bad with it, I didn't think. We have been at our rental house all weekend getting it ready to get rented out again. We took his 4 wheeler and he enjoyed riding around in the house. Shane (the guy that works for Bryan) came to help us a little bit and brought his 2 boys. Bryan paid them 10 bucks a piece to "babysit" They had fun and Christopher thought he was a big boy too. It was too cute but no pictures of that.

Bryan brought Christopher home a monster truck book and that is all we have looked at all day long. We did manage to get out for a few hours and go to some friends house to play. What a good time we had. When we got back hom it was back to the monster truck book. He LOVES it and Bryan didn't think it was worth 10.00 :). After dinner Bryan and Christopher played in the floor with none other than the monster trucks and looked through the monster truck book several times. Christopher is feeling so much better and I am sooo glad b/c yesterday was a loooooonnnnngggg day. Last night before I put him to bed I was trying to get him to repeat things to me which he NEVER does and I asked him to say Cooper (the little boy we played with today) and he said Coopie. I'll take it. He said mawmaw, pawpaw, Leslie (or what sort of sounded like it) Hadley (Habley) and a few others. Hopefully he will coming around soon with his language.

Roommate weekend

This weekend was the weekend for roommates. My roommate from college, Alicia was here and my sister's (Leslie) roommate from college was also here with her son. We had a good weekend despite Christopher being sick. We ate spaghetti, played Uno Attack, watched football, went to the movies, ordered pizza and drank LOTS of coffee. It was a GREAT weekend and I hope we can do it again soon.

Leslie loves for Christopher to sleep in her lap and it very rarely happens anymore. Today he fell asleep in my lap and she came and took him from me so he would sleep in her lap. :)

My roomie from college and her little girl (Christopher's girlfriend) were in town this weekend and we did our usual La Fiesta and then we took the kids to the mall and to Build A Bear. Christopher was still not up to par from his stomach issues but I think he had a good time anyways. They picked out bears and dogs, pick out hearts, gave them a bath and gave them kisses. They were too cute in Build A Bear but Alicia and I were a nervous wreck, not knowing what was going to happen next. We took them to get ice cream, shopped a little and they took a much needed nap while we enjoyed some conversation. Aren't they so cute when they are asleep? It was a good time as usual I just wish my little man felt better. We came home and within 5 minnutes from being home he threw up everywhere. After that he was back to acting like Christopher (running around like a wild man)

Not sure what is going on with my little fellow but it is not pretty at our house right now. He has basically been up since 4am with some stomach issues. He has never really thrown up, maybe once when he was a baby but that has been it. I went to take a shower and came back to he and daddy asleep together. My sister Leslie is here to visit this weekend and Christopher decided to take a nap with her today. I asked her if she wanted to put him in his bed and she quickly said "NO" (I should have known :) )

MONSTER Truck Show

Bryan and I decided to take Christopher to the MONSTER Truck Show today and WOW did he love it. We had not planned on taking him b/c I thought he was too little and would not enjoy it. Boy was I WRONG. He loved every minute of it and was sooo good. We had thought about buying the cheapest tickets in case we had to leave but we bit the bullet and bought the ones a little but more expensive and it was so worth it. I got up this morning and made him a monster truck shirt to wear. He looked so cute :) As you can see in the pictures he enjoyed popcorn, got him a new Grave Digger hat, some monster wheel ear muffs and DID NOT want to get his picture taken with his mommy :(

Well they predicted this big ole snow storm for Thursday and guess what? It barely snowed. You could see a few flakes here and there but no "real" snow. I bundled Christopher up and we headed out to see the "snow" and he could have cared less, but he did enjoy chasing this little puppy that belongs to our neighbor.

We were in Mobile for a little over a week and we had a great time hanging out with the family, making cookies for Santa and getting ready for the big guy to come visit. Christopher got WAY too much this year and he was soooo funny opening his presents, my presents, Bryans presents and anyones presents he could get to. He "helped" Paw Paw rake, hung out with Maw Maw, got Paw Paw to sleep and went to a Christmas parade. Notice the picture of him eating Santas cookies. He is crazy :)

Bryan wanted me to make some goodies for the guys that work for him and today was the day :) Christopher and I have been super busy in the kitchen today making crock pot fudge, rice krispy treats, brownies, peanut butter krispy balls, Oreo balls, and chocolate covered pretzels. I think he and I are both on sugar overload big time. It has been a fun day but I am one pooped momma.

I have been having a really hard time with Christopher going to bed at night and nap time. He has learned how to climb out of his bed and he is pretty fast at it. The past week has been horrible when it comes to bedtime. I don't know what happened to my good sleeping baby. He used to go to bed at 8 was asleep by 8:15 and would sleep until at least 8 and usually longer. Not so much anymore. He has been getting in bed at 8 but not going to bed until around 10 and waking up at about 6. This is not going over very well with this tired and frustrated mommy. We decided to convert his bed tonight thinking it might be easier. Yeah once again not so much. He did have fun "helping" Bryan convert his bed and getting in and out of the bed. Finally he went to sleep and doesn't he look just precious?

Christmas Parade

Today was the Alabster parade. It was soooo cold and it snowed a little bit last night, not enough to stick but hey at least it snowed. We got up and layered ourselves with lots of clothes and headed to the parade. Christopher was pretty tired b/c he has been up since 6:30am. (This climbing out of the bed is for the birds I tell you.) Anyways, the parade was good, Christopher got the hang of waving and he knew they would throw him some candy and he seemed to enjoy picking it all up. He has had suckers, tootsie rolls and no telling what else. He was asleep before we got home from all the excitement, and thankfully is still asleep!! :)

Ho Ho Ho

Today has been one of those days. Christopher has been fussy fussy for some reason. I am guessing he is cutting his 2 year molars but I am not sure b/c he tries to bite my finger when I try to feel his teeth. He has also learned what I was dreading and that is him learning to climb out of his bed. We were planning on transferring his crib to a toddler bed after the first of the year but looks like it is coming a little earlier than expected. He went to take a nap today and I went downstairs to sew and when I came up to check on him he was sitting beside his bed playing with puzzles. (he never slept that time I put him down) When he finally decided to go down for his nap he climbed out of his bed several times before finally going to sleep. When he woke up we got ready and headed to our friends Leslie and Larsons so we could go see Santa at the Bass Pro Shop. The boys enjoyed playing with all the toys they had out but neither one of them cared for Santa AT ALL. After that we went and ate some Mexican food and headed home. When I put him down for bed time he climbed out a few times but is now sound asleep. Tonight I will have to lock him in his room so he doesn't climb out and walk around the house or fall down the stairs. He is a NUT

There is a Science Center in Mobile and they have a Bob the Builder exhibit going on right now. Dad and I took him one day and he had so much fun. When we left dad and I were talking and we think he walked about 3 miles while we were there. He was not too happy about getting his picture taken with Bob so I had to get in there with him.

While we were in Mobile we met up with some friends of mine from high school. We are going to try to make it a tradition and this was the 2cd year. We go to a restaurant called The Blue Gill b/c they have an outside play area the kids can play in with sand and toys. The mommies sit around and enjoy some drinks and chit chat. We had a great time this year, it was a small group but still lots of fun. I didn't take too many pictures b/c I was too busy catching up but Christopher sure did love that Samuel brought about 50 cars and he was real nice to share.

Christopher and I headed to Mobile on Saturday the 14th to have a little birthday party with my parents and sister. When we got there Christopher had a 4wheeler waiting for him. He was a little unsure about it but he loves it now. We forgot to give him his other presents that night so he got them the next day. We had a fun and busy day today enjoying Christopher's 2cd Birthday. We got ready after opening presents etc and headed to Painted by U. We did this last year for his birthday and I thought we would make it a tradition. We made mommy a few goodies. Christopher acted CRAZY in that place only to find out he was super tired. He fell asleep in the stroller, in the store while I was checking out. We left there and headed to Krystal and picked up lunch and headed to the shop to eat lunch with daddy. That night we took Christopher outto eat Japanese. It is sort of a tradition to go eat japanese food on your birthday around here. After dinner we came home and sang Happy Birthday again and let Christopher eat his birthday cupcake. He seemed to enjoy the candle the most b/c he took a huge chuck out of it. I still can not believe my baby boy is already 2.

I can not believe my baby is 2 today. Two years ago today at this time I was in recovery waiting to get in a room so my family could meet Christopher for the first time. He has changed so much over the past 2 years and I REALLY CAN NOT imagine my life without him or before him. We got up this morning and Bryan and I greeted him with the Happy Birthday song. He could care less, he layed in his bed and smiled. When he came in the living room we had all his gifts sitting out and he just smiled. He could have cared less about anything he got but the cars. He has learned to climb on the picnic table and stand already. What am I going to do with this boy? We are headed out for a day of fun. Not sure what we are going to get in to today but I am sure it will be FUN!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY BOY. Mommy loves you (the most)

On Wednesday we went to Logans birthday party. It was an Elmo party and Christopher had a great time. He "mowed" the grass, crawled through the tent and ate cute cute cupcakes. Happy Birthday Party Day!!!

We had Christopher's 2cd Birthday party today and we had such a good time. We celebrated with good friends and family. We had the party at our house and fixed hot dogs (wrapped in bacon), spinach dip, Texas Caviar, chicken ball, chips and dip, cheese squares, grapes, rice krispie treats, cake and ice cream. Needless to say we have lots of all of that left over. We waited until everyone left to open presents b/c last year it was CRAZY while opening presents. Christopher got lots and lots of cars and he was in heaven. He played so hard and after out friends left Monica and Ella Claire stayed longer to hang out. Ella Claire and Christopher played so well together. I love to see them play together and wish we could get together with them more often. Monica and I played catch up since we haven't seen each other in a long time and the kids played and we just had a great day.
